Metal Wire Mesh - Plain Weave Mesh Manufacturers

Metal Wire Mesh - Plain Weave Mesh Manufacturers
Wire Mesh or Wire Cloth is a semi-permeable barrier. It is generally woven on looms, analogous to the looms that are commonly used to weave cloth.  However, we use wire instead of yarn. Different patterns such as plain weave, twilled weave, plain Dutch weave etc., can be made. Woven wire mesh can be manufactured using different raw materials. Some of which are:

Mild steel which is a low cost option.
Stainless steel which is the most popular material, giving good strength and durability.
Monel which is the Nickel/Copper Alloy has the combination of strength and excellent resistance to acids etc.
Brass & copper, aluminum insect/ fly screen mesh and fiberglass are other excellent raw materials
The metal, fiber, or other flexible/ductile materials are then interleaved to form meshes. Wire mesh can be identified based on raw material, width and length of wire mesh, type of wire mesh and wire diameter.
One of the most commonly used and simplest wire cloth weave is the Plain weave. Each warp wire passes alternately over and under the wires running up, down and across through the cloth. These wires are identified as warp and weft wires. Warp wires are those parallel to length of wire mesh. Weft wires are those ones parallel to width of wire mesh. They are manufactured using steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum and various other alloys as per the application requirement. Plain weave has ideal strength-to-weight ratio, wide range of open area percentages, precise hole size and is corrosion resistant.
